Mark 11:25

Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

1 Peter 3:8-10 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

January is the time for new beginnings, time to seek God, and set new goals. Everything always seems exciting and adventurous in the beginning, but then we don’t live up to expectations and we make mistakes. No one likes to make mistakes or work through the mistakes. However, there are some good things about making mistakes. I heard a sermon from my good friend Jimmy Griffith a few months ago and it has really stuck with me. Mistakes let you see the good wisdom of God. Mistakes let you experience the forgiveness of God. Mistakes let you forgive others. Mistakes can make you smarter if you see them as a wakeup call and learn from them. They help Give Your Memory a Boost as you remember your mistakes that you have learned by. They can motive and encourage you if you fail a test in school your motivated to study harder. Mistakes can rewire your brain. Psychologists from the University of Exeter in the UK discovered that our brains have an “early warning signal” that helps us avoid repeating past mistakes. Researchers found that the mechanism reacts in just 0.1 seconds to things that have caused us to make a mistake in the past. Jesus talked immensely about forgiveness. So when I see my clients who have many mistakes in their past and sometimes they just stay in the mistakes and see no way out. We at the Christian Caring Center have the awesome opportunity to speak the essence of the Gospel message–FORGIVNESS! Whether we need to forgive others or we need forgiveness, we can find it in Jesus! We are so motivated to share this message with everyone who walks through our doors. I am excited to tell you that in 2017 – 112 people asked Jesus to save them and experienced this forgiveness!! Praise the Lord!

We are so grateful to you who supports the ministry of the sharing this Gospel and hold up the Christian Caring Center and clients with prayer and then providing love through the sharing of food, clothing, shelter and other physical necessities when available. It was extremely hard financial year. Staff had to be laid off. Some hard program changes had to be made and still have to be made, etc., but 112 souls made it worth it. We want to thank some new donors: Knights of Columbus, Medford Lakes; Bank of America Foundation, Holman Foundation, Beneficial Foundation, and many more!! As well as some our favorites like Dynatec, Inc., McMaster, Inc. 33 faithful churches and 200 plus individuals, etc. We know that there are a lot of good Christian ministries out there and we thank you for choosing the Christian Caring Center to further the Gospel.
