What a wonderful magical time of the year

Romans 13:12 “The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” NKJV

Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” KJV

What a wonderful magical time of the year. Who doesn’t love it? Many don’t: people who are not Christians, people who focus on the “holiday” and not the meaning of Christmas trying to buy things-many they can’t afford and then get depressed or angry, people who are separated from family, people grieving and people without hope, etc. The above verse from Romans speaks to me about people without hope. We never know what people have gone through when they come to the Christian Caring Center. They share some things, but no one shares all the traumas of their life. God knows though and that’s one of the reasons He gave us His word. My husband and I just went through some sickness that ended him in the hospital for five days. One of our deacons sent us this verse in the middle of those five days and it just encouraged us so much! How true this verse is no matter what you could be facing, that God could change circumstances, finances, sickness, etc. overnight! Even if He doesn’t change things over night, we can change our focus and chose to “cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light”! This time of the year we all focus on giving. What better gift then the gift of Jesus? I read the other day that a doctor can deliver you into life, a lawyer can defend your life, but only Jesus can give you everlasting life!! We at the Christian Caring Center have the awesome privilege, honor, opportunity, joy and benefit of sharing the Gospel and Good News of Christmas and Easter with everyone that comes to us and to seal it with prayer and sharing of food, clothes, shelter and other physical necessities that He provides! From January thru October we were blessed to share with you that 69 people gave their sins and turned over their lives to Jesus for the gift of eternal life-Praise the Lord!

We are so grateful to you who support the ministry of the sharing of the Gospel and hold up the Christian Caring Center and clients with prayer and then providing love through the sharing of food, clothing, shelter and other physical necessities when available. We know that there are a lot of good Christian ministries out there and we thank you for choosing the Christian Caring Center to further the Gospel. Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!
