Psm139 1 4 “You have searched me, LORD, and you know me.
Psm 139 1-4 “You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you
perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it
completely”
I’m sure you think know your spouse or your child like this, but no one knows us like God! One of my favorite songs is, “God Knows your name”. It has been a very stormy April and we now have 6 people living on our parking lot waiting for different agencies to help or for jobs to start so they can make the next move. The center is only open Mon.-Fri, 10am-3pm, so they are completely outside all night and all weekend. One of the people began coming to church with me on Sun. It was a Sunday after a bad storm that produced a few tornados in our county. One of our case managers came to the center for a food box for a client and met Joe and gave him a ride to the library to get out of the rain. When Joe started walking back to the center with his cane in hand, a lady and her daughter stopped. She asked him where he was going and if he needed a ride. Joe got in and then the nice lady asked if he would like to have a piece of pizza with them. Joe was able to stay in the pizza restaurant, because he now was a customer, all through the emergency warnings until the sever storm passed- PTL! Joe was telling me about his testimony on the way to church and when we walked into the sanctuary the congregation was singing the song, “ God know’s your name” was! We looked at each other and all I could say was-“Joe God knows your name!” God truly knows when we sit or need to, He knows our thoughts even from afar as heaven! If you need something, He already knows, but He wants you to ask Him. To the nice lady and her daughter-THANK YOU for letting God use you!! My prayer is that I would be able to respond like her when God needs me to.
