What do you say to a parent with children that is facing the challenges and complications of being homeless?  The children need to eat, go to school, have a place  to sleep, do homework, take a bath, have clean clothes, etc.  How do you attend to all these requirements if you have no house, or you are  living in a car or on someone else's couch?  How do you look at them and quote them this verse when they just  can’t see it?  Like the Passion Bible says—I am personally convinced that Jesus will supply all their needs!  One of the ways He does is through the Christian Caring Center’s BRIDGE OF HOPE PROGRAM.  Their moto is, “We are making room.”  Praise the Lord! The Bridge of Hope program provides each family a neighboring team of volunteers that meet with the family for a fun activity monthly, while the social worker meets with the family weekly.  It also assists the family to  find affordable safe housing to rent and then provides a decreasing rental subsidy for one year.  At the end of the year, the family is able to sustain the apartment that is in their name and stays in the same apartment.  We want to help as many families as we can.  We estimate that we need to raise $18,000/ per year per family.  The good news is that you will have an opportunity to partner with us to directly change the course of homelessness in children’s lives through our annual Sleep Out.  This year it will be held on the Christian Caring Center’s front lawn at 378 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills on 10/18/2025.  You can sleep in a tent on the front lawn or in your car.  You can even partner in your own living room with your children or grandchildren.  Many of our families have to “couch surf” at grandmom’s or a friends house.  This is a great way to teach your children or grandchildren how some children that maybe sitting in the next desk have to live every day and night.   Each sleeper will seek sponsorship for their Sleep Out Participation.  You can put up a go fund me on social media, ask your friends, coworkers, or church family for your Sleep Out Event.  If you drop us a line, we will give you all the information you need.  This is a great event if your child needs community service hours for communion or confirmation or school requirements.  Maybe your scout needs to work on a badge, the possibilities are endless.  Our goal is to funs  2 families or $36,000.
