Exactly what is the Lord is doing at the CCC?

Normally I write to you about one program and 1 individuals’ story, but today I wanted to share our entire ministry. About once a week I hear someone tell me,” I didn’t know you did all these things.” So we wanted to let you know exactly what the Lord is doing at the CCC. We spend a lot of time ministering to homeless individuals and families, but equally we spend a lot of time preventing homelessness and with our wrap around programs, we stabilize them. In this economy everyone knows someone who is struggling. If you do, tell them about the CCC and we can see if we can help.

Tier One: Outreach

● Homeless Outreach: Delivers meals twice a week to individuals living outdoors or in local motels.

● Community Lunch: Serves daily hot lunches at the center. []

Tier Two: Crisis Intervention

● Short-Term Housing: Provides emergency weekend or short-stay motel vouchers and shelter.

● 2 Men's Shelter: Operates 90 days recovery houses up to 8 men focusing on rapid rehousing.

● 1 Family Shelter: Operates90 days recovery houses up to 8 men focusing on rapid rehousing.

Tier Three: Wraparound Services

● Food Pantry: Distributes supplemental groceries and food supplies.

● Salvation Army Service Unit: Handles emergency financial, utility, and non-food needs.

● Case Management: Offers assessments, life-skills guidance, and social service referrals.

● Holiday Baskets: Distributes a Holiday meal at Thanksgiving, Christmas& gifts for children, Easter along with candy baskets and Backpack Outreach.

● Homeless Prevention: Prevention of rental assistance to ensure housing sustainability.

● Job Training: We allow shelter guests, volunteers, welfare to work, probation-community service individuals to volunteer and job shadow our staff in all our programs.

We also have the Federal PATH Labor training programs for 55 plus people looking to return to the workforce. We have a contract with AmeriCorps for one of their paid volunteers.

Tier Four: Permanent Housing

● Rapid ReHousing: Helps families and individuals move from crisis settings into stable, permanent long-term housing.

● Bridge of Hope: Connects at-risk families with mentoring, spiritual support, and community networks to maintain permanent housing.

● Tiny Homes: We are in development stages of Eden Village @ CCC.

God is using all of us to reach some of us that are in need. We sometimes feel that our donation is meager, but Jesus can use and multiply whatever we give him. Whether it is talent, prayers, time or treasure. We are so blessed that you have chosen to sow a seed into this ministry and our clients are so grateful!
