I love the whole Christmas season.

Acts 6:3 “Therefore, brethren, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task.”

I love the whole Christmas season. It seems like everyone is focusing on Jesus. It’s acceptable to sing carols about Jesus and his birth everywhere. People are centering their attention on blessing others, etc. What I also love is time to reflect on the year that is finishing and focusing on the New Year to come. God so loved the fallen man that He sent His only Son to redeem him. There is no greater love! This year, like no other that I have witnessed, has been a challenge for everyone in the entire world. As I have been praying and serving, I have to testify that I have seen great suffering but also great kindness being poured out. As the numbers that we serve have doubled, so have most of the supplies to meet the need--PTL!! Only God can do that miracle! I have also heard (even on the world news) that people have been spending less and see the great need all around them. Just about everyone knows personally someone who has been affected by this pandemic. I believe that God has been stirring up the hearts of His people for love and action. In the above verse in Acts, it was a time of great growth in the church. The disciples needed and wanted to respond but couldn’t do it all. That is when the Lord told them to select seven men to be put in charge. We at the Christian Caring Center are in a similar position. For months now, I have been writing about young people and Board Members that are needed. We have wonderful Board Members right now and they are very seasoned in leadership. They are also in their 70’s and 80’s. Their desire is to mentor new leaders that will spearhead, manage and organize the future of the Christian Caring Center. Is God stirring up you? Your family? You might say that you have never led before. I can testify to all the great leaders in the Bible were first timers. They had past history of being sinners and didn’t feel qualified (Moses and David). But they loved God and were obedient to their call. God was with them—and never left them. If you are born again and willing to listen to the Holy Spirit--you are qualified! The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells inside of you! You cannot fail. We believe that God has deposited gifts in you that the people we serve need right now. It’s never been easier either. All our board activities are virtual, emails, phone calls etc. Maybe you want to start at the committee level. There is room at the table for you too. Let me tell you that little Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts just had a food drive that will fill our boxes for a month. The Medford Knights of Columbus also had a food drive. Someone came and power washed the Thrift Shop. Then a couple of people fixed our fencing, Marlton Recreation Department held a blanket drive at their registration and we were able to bless 50 households with blankets yesterday. And many of you have continued to support financially. The list goes on and on. This all was coordinated via email, text messages and cell phones. I saw a church sign at Southside Baptist church that read “The church is not closed, it been deployed”! Please pray about where God wants to deploy you and your family. Let’s raise up a generation of doers of the Word, as we lead by example. Have a wonderful, safe holiday and prayerfully we will be instruments of spreading the Gospel and God’s love in many new ways as a Kingdom! Thank you for all your support! I am also so very thankful and grateful to all of you that continue to support the Christian Caring Center that enables us to reach so many. THANK YOU!!!

Abiding in Him,

Madelyn Sutton,Executive Director
