A word from your Director
Titus 2:14 “who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
We are totaling our numbers for 2018 and I’m so ecstatic to tell you that 187 people were saved during the year-PRAISE THE LORD! However, most of those people (and sometimes me) suffer from a personality crisis. We know what we are –new creatures in Christ- but we don’t know WHO we are and how our new identity relates to our victory over family iniquities. For me, every time I find the words “in Christ” in the New Testament, I give them special attention because they describe what I look like to God. I hold those scriptures before me like a mirror- they are the REAL me! That is why it is so important to plug our new believers into a Bible believing church. That’s also why it so important that we get to talk and pray with everyone who comes into the Christian Caring Center. We need to breathe new life by telling them who they are in Christ as a new creature through the Word of God. As the interviewers get to listen to our clients lives through their joys and struggles, we can relate scriptures and our testimonies and seal it with prayer. One such testimony is MG, one father and husband from the woods who is now 7 months clean and sober in a long term Christian rehab. We have been ministering to him and his family for years. Through their joys, growth and then back sliding into heavy drug addiction to now learning how to walk in the spirit and live sober. His wife and 2 teenage children are still here enduring homelessness, rehousing, mom struggling with the single parenting teens etc. But we have been here for them all wrapping them in God’s love, supporting them with our programs and them (mom and daughter) coming to volunteer during baskets. We are so blessed by your support and prayers that we are privileged to be able to walk into victory with them through Christ. We would never be able to do it without you. Thank you for your “good works” of partnering so we can partner with many!
As always we thank you for all your support of the Christian Caring Center and all the programs we serve our clients with, especially during this emergency situation at the Outreach Center.
