Look at the lilies and how they grow.

Luke 12:27, 32 (NLT) 27 “Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 32 “So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom”

My good friend, a sister in Christ sent me a text last night to ask for prayer because she was going to a hospital in Philly to have an ablation on her heart for the third time. So after I prayed I was checking my phone, she sent me verse 32 and was humbled. They have to stop and start her heart on the table. The last time, she ended up on life support for a while. This verse she sent tells me she is fully confident God’s got her in His hand-PTL!! She is making the Kingdom of God her primary concern, not her health, not her mom who is house bound and she takes care of, not where she will wake up. She knows as Lord and Creator, He wants to give her the Kingdom of Heaven! I need to take a lesson from this! We all face major circumstances in life, but when we frighten ourselves with apprehension of evil to come, I find myself trying to avoid it. We always need to be about our Father’s work and seeking His kingdom. We never know who we will minister to. I’m sure my friend was not thinking she was going to minister to me this morning. Day after day, the staff and volunteers minister to our clients who come to the Christian Caring Center with very real, hard, emergencies. The truth is the only thing we have to offer is God’s Word, His mercy and Grace, our testimonies, but a lot of the times-the clients minister right back to us!! There is power in agreement on the truths of God. Two of our homeless people were promoted to glory this past month. When my husband and I went to pray for one and we walked into the intensive care unit and witnessed him hooked to life support. We prayed for him and the family, but even in that state-he ministered to us to renew preaching the Gospel in boldness and compassion because really we are all preparing to stand before our King in His Kingdom!

I can’t thank you enough for supporting the Christian Caring Center, the staff, volunteers and clients with all your prayers, financial support, food drives, back packs and schools supplies and new projects like the micro housing, etc. Sounds overwhelming, but when God starts using His people, we can get this Kingdom work done!!! We are asking that you put us and these projects on your prayer lists. Start some conversations about these projects and donate what the Lord puts on your heart. As always, we thank you for all your support. It is changing the world one soul at a time and we praise God for you!!!!

Abiding in Him,

Madelyn Sutton
